Introduction to PMC
( aka Getting Started with PMC )
PMC is clay made of microscopically ground pure silver, water, and an organic binder that turns into solid silver object after firing in a kiln. Learn how to use PMC to make pendants, charms, and earring components. 5.5-6hrs
PMC Charms
Spend an evening making charms and small component pieces from Precious Metal Clay. With just a little knowledge it’s possible to make great-personalized gifts, fire and finish to perfection. Additional materials suggested. 3hrs
PMC Photo Charm
Use the superior textural rendering abilities of PMC to design a tiny frame for a special photo or paper souvenir. A thin cover of mica adds a gleaming protective cover for your treasure while tiny brass nuts and bolts hold everything together.
Retreat classes
My favorite way to teach PMC is to have students for a long weekend. If you are interested in having me teach at your bead store, art center or for a private group please contact me regarding 3 or 4 day retreat classes.
Beginner level classes assume no experience with PMC
Recommended supplies for all classes -
Bring textured items, brass texture plates, rubberstamps, buttons, lace, jewelry bits, found items with texture, and metal stamps. If you need glasses for close up work please bring them!
Please refer to each stores exact materials lists for details.
